Payment & Shipping

Butterscotch aims to make the post-auction process as simple as possible. The following information outlines how to receive invoices, complete payment, and arrange pickup or shipping for purchased merchandise.

Invoices

Invoices are emailed within 48 hours after each sale and include full payment and shipping instructions. If you don’t see your invoice, please check your spam folder and then contact us so we can resend it promptly.

  

Payment Terms

Payment is due within 8 days of the sale.

 

Payment Methods

We accept the following direct payment methods:

  • Cash

  • Zelle (U.S. bank accounts)

  • Personal Check

  • Certified Check

  • Wire Transfer (required for invoices over $1,000; mandatory for international invoices over $2,000; $25 wire fee applies)

Details for remitting payment are included with your invoice.

Please note: Credit cards, PayPal, and other payment methods are not accepted.

 

LiveAuctioneers Bidders

If you placed a winning bid on LiveAuctioneers, your invoice will come directly from LiveAuctioneers.

We participate in LivePayments. If all of the conditions below apply, LiveAuctioneers will automatically charge your credit card 72 hours after the sale, plus a 3.75% processing fee:

  1. You have a credit card on file with LiveAuctioneers,

  2. Your invoice total is under $2,000, and

  3. You have not already arranged alternate payment directly with Butterscotch.

If you’d prefer to pay Butterscotch directly, simply notify us within 72 hours of the auction.

 

Pickup

All pickups are by confirmed appointment only. A link to schedule your pick up will be provided along with your invoice. Please submit your request at least 24 hours in advance.

When picking up, please bring your own packing materials and labor, as Butterscotch staff cannot assist with loading.

Shipping

Buyers are responsible for arranging shipping through the carrier of their choice. Once you’ve selected a shipper, please email us written authorization so we can release your items. For security, we cannot release property to a third party without prior approval.
